Make some thumbnail sketches for ideas that feature the Elements of Art.
Principles of Design
Draw circle with part of a face in it.
Make another circle. Fill it with a variety of lines and shapes. Repeat them to make zentangle styled patterns.
Add some flowing, curvy lines.
Erase the circle and add a little bit more of the face.
Draw more curving lines.
Refer to your practice zentangle as you consider your line designs on your portrait.
Outline in thin black pen.
Add lines, shapes, and patterns to create a whimsical, moving Zentangle design.
Add more designs around the face to create visual interest.
