MMHS Counseling Newsletter May 2021

Congratulations to the Class of 2021! You've made it and we are looking forward to celebrating with you on May 25th at the Spanish Fork Rodeo Grounds for your very special graduation ceremony. Make sure to check all the information included in this newsletter. We will continue to send updates as we work through the details of graduation and end of year activities!

2021 Senior Timeline

Remember to report ALL scholarship awards to Mrs. Wagner in the Counseling Center!!

Cap & Gown are required to participate in graduation exercises. Questions or late orders Contact Jostens at 800-567-8367 or molly.shaheen.office@jostens.com

Senior Exit Survey needs to be completed by each senior student.

April 30th All make-up and outside credit is due. *Honors and High Honors will be calculated – any detention hours above 10 must be cleared for consideration.

May 3rd Senior Clearance begins. Students need to check their student email to see status in the areas of finance, attendance, library, credit and senior survey.

May 11th Senior Sunset at 7:30 pm.

May 13th Sales end for purchase of Senior Ball and/or Senior All-Nighter. Tickets can be purchased here for the Senior Ball and/or Senior All-Nighter. Senior Ball $20, Senior All-Nighter $25, Combo Ticket (both events) $40

May 17th Seniors can start textbook/chromebook check-in, Senior Awards Video Link available on the Counseling Website

May 18th Textbook/chromebook check-in continued

May 19th Senior Fines/Fees Due

May 20th Seniors need to make sure their clearance status is complete by checking their student email. The areas of finance, attendance, library, credit and senior surveys need to be cleared in order to pickup cap and gown on the 21st.

May 21st Seniors will pickup all honors/CTE Cords, certificates/awards and cap and gown in the library. All of these items will be packaged together in a bag for each senior. Last day of school for seniors.

May 21st Hope Squad Applications Due 3:00pm. EmailCaryn.neilsen@nebo.edu with any questions.

May 22nd Senior Ball- 5:30-9:00pm. You can purchase tickets here. Sales will end May 13th. Senior Ball $20, Senior All-Nighter $25, Combo Ticket (both events) $40

May 24th Graduation Practice will be held at the Spanish Fork Rodeo Grounds for seniors at 2:00 pm.

May 25th Graduation begins at 2:00 pm. Seniors must be at the Spanish Fork Rodeo Grounds by 1:15pm in preparation for Graduation!

May 25th Senior Late-Nighter 10:00pm-5:00am

2022 Concerto/Aria Information: For students wishing to perform their Concerto or Aria in concert with the MMHS Chamber Orchestra & Band: -Applications for Concerto/Aria are due on Friday, September 3rd 2021. -Auditions will be held on Tuesday, September 7th 2021. -Concert will be held on Wednesday, January 19th 2022. Speak to Miss K or Mr. Rymer for further details.

FAFSA Walkthrough Video: Seniors and parents who would like assistance with the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) can watch this video tutorial for help.

Mtech Registration started on April 20th. If you haven't started the process, you will want to start online at portal.mtec.edu. Some classes may already be full. Program admission requirements may be met by taking MTECH's assessment test in the Testing Center or by bringing a copy of external testing or alternative documentation to the Testing Center for approval. Find the prerequisites for program online at mtec.edu/programs.
