POLITICS - Belize is a parliamentary representative democratic monarchy where by Queen Elizabeth II serves as head of state and the prime minister is the head of government. The party system is dominated by the center-left People's United Party and the center-right United Democratic Party. Constitutional safeguards include freedom of speech, press, worship, movement, and association. The Judiciary is independent of the executive and the legislature. Jurisprudence is based on English common law.
ECONOMICS - Belize is considered an Upper-middle-income economy. Belize's trade deficit has been growing, mostly as a result of low export prices for sugar and bananas.
RELIGION - The major religion in Belize is Roman Catholic.( about 40.1 Belizeans are Roman Catholics ) the other percentage are different religions like Baptist, Jehovah's Witness, Buddhist and etc. Belize has a larger Protestant population than any other country in Central America. The Maya and Garifuna practice their own fascinating mixture of shamanism and Christianity.
SOCIAL STRUCTURE - Belizean society in the early 1990s was marked by enduring differences in the distribution of wealth, power, and prestige, but because of the low population in Belize. The social distance between the rich and the poor, was nowhere as vast as in other Caribbean and Central American societies.
INDUSTRY - The biggest money maker for Belize is tourism. Belize receives approximately 1.3 million tourists each year.
ARTS/ENTERTAINMENT - Belize has multiple attractions such as diving, snorkeling, water sports, windsurfing, kitesurfing, exploring by land, exploring by sea, Reef camping, and hiking in Belize.
