Asphalt & Concrete Walkway Specification Generic

1/. All surfaces must be cleaned and swept. Prepare and key the substrate by planning and diamond grinding for maximum adhesion.

2/. Minor Repairs.(small-cracks-hairline)

3/. Clean areas from dust and apply Pro-fast Multi TR Primer where required and place back into service broadcast quartz or kiln dry sand to give a mechanical key and trafficable anti-slip finish (the mechanical key will also assist in inclement weather conditions changing the chemical key to mechanical will save on re-application of primer)

4/. Spray apply a 2.5 – 3mm DFT CE Certified 8 second cure Pure Polyurea seamless waterproof (fully hydrophobic) membrane with integrated anti-slip to BS Standard to flat areas and up stands with application terminating with its own edge Stair - Specification Generic

4/. Spray apply a 2.5 – 3mm DFT CE Certififed Pure Polyurea seamless waterproof membrane with integrated anti-slip to BS Standard to flat areas and up stands with application terminating where possible into a 20 mm x 50 mm saw chase sealed using Soudhal FC 40 joint compound sealer. Where required and according to detail finish brush or roller apply a 2k aliphatic topcoat in selected British RAL Colour to stair edges, internal and external stringers. Finish with regard detail to be agreed by the asset owner and if required complete the whole tanking application in Pure Polyurea.

Please refer to our Polymers operational & maintenance manual for cleaning, no chemicals are required to maintain this product. Colour choice will vary but the recommended finish is RAL 7024 grey.

Important Information

The CE Certified Pure Polyurea engineered design life will give a much longer service life than any other application unlike Polyurethane based systems that are not fit for purpose, urethanes by design are hydrophilic and suffer from Hydrolysis degradation. Urethane based systems require a catalyst to cure which are moisture intolerant, 19grams of moisture in the substrate will destroy 200grams of catalyst in urethane based products, most systems require an integral fleece as part of the composite system which restricts the elongation in the urethane contradicting any key performance factor. Our Polymer manufacturers retracted its production of urethane-based products in line with global shift and rainfall patterns as it is subject to failure and short service life.
