Utah The salt state

Utah was found by Spain Young in 1776. Then a American named Jim Bridger discovered the Great Salt Lake.

Ute indians

Utah was named after the indian tribe named Ute. The first people to live in Utah was in 11,000 B.C by the Paleos. The main 4 Indian tribes were the Ute, the Southern Paiute, the Goshute, and the Northern Shoshone.

In 1869 the first transcontinental railroad was built in Utah.

Utah state bird is the Ring billed Gull.

Utah first became a state in 1896 and is the 45 state to join America.
