CSU Extension - Garfield County february 2019 - "in the loop" newsletter

You must reserve a slot to weigh in your Market Beef animals on February 22nd or 23rd (Saturday - only if absolutely necessary). Choose your slot on Sign Up Genius at: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10c0c44a9ae2ea75-2019 Two animals are allowed in each 5 minute slot. If you are taking your animal to the Colorado State Fair, you will need to fill out the nomination paperwork in this newsletter and bring it with you to weigh in between 11am - 1 pm at which time your animal will be retinal scanned.

Pics from our 1st "Cooking with Kids" Friday Club on Friday, January 4th, 2019. Class meets on the 1st Friday of each month at the fairgrounds in the Event Hall.

TODAY IS A FANTASTIC DAY TO START YOUR RECORD BOOKS FOR ALL OF YOUR 4-H PROJECTS - LIVESTOCK, SHOOTING SPORTS, AND ALL GENERAL PROJECTS (CAKE DECORATING, ROBOTICS, QUILTING, WOODWORKING, ETC)

Please take note of the following changes to some of the General Projects for this year. Also, if you need project manuals for this year's projects, please contact the Extension Office at 970-625-3969 and speak with Randi Sheridan.

Below are the "need to know" livestock dates for 2019 - consider saving the ones that pertain to your projects to your phone's calendar now so that you're not surprised later!

Below are the declaration forms necessary for your animal uploads if you are participating in the Commercial Beef Ranch Class or any specie of Producer Market or Breeding Classes.

ARE YOU A SENIOR (14-18 YR OLD) or AN INTERMEDIATE (11-13 YR OLD) 4-H MEMBER THAT WOULD LIKE TO HELP OUT FOR THIS YEAR'S FAIR?????

Below is the Junior and Assistant Junior Fair Superintendent's applications that needs to be turned into Abi Saeed by April 28th if you want to be a Jr. or Asst. Jr. Superintendent this year.
