Hello parents, carers, teachers & friends! We hope you all had a lovely Easter break.

Haslingden High School PTFA (Parents, Teachers & Friends Association) is a registered charity dedicated to IMPROVING COMMUNICATION between home and school and also RAISING FUNDS for the school.

Last term:

Last term, we held the annual Family Quiz Night. This was a great success and, as well as being a fun social night, raised us £265.25! Our clever winners were the team from our PE Faculty - well done!

Family Quiz Night

Thank you so much to everyone that supported this event. We always welcome your feedback about our events; this helps us to improve and deliver the kind of events you want. If you have any comments, please inbox our Facebook page or drop us an email.

Well done to the PE Faculty - our clever winners!

The PTFA hold termly meetings where parents can communicate directly with school staff representatives in an informal environment. There will always be a member of the school's Senior Leadership Team (and other staff) present at these meetings.

Our next meeting is scheduled for Monday 13th May at 6pm, however we will confirm this shortly. You will always be notified of the meeting dates on our Facebook page and by school text.

Your PTFA, as a registered charity, must have various governing documents, policies and procedures in place with The Charities Commission. The committee have been working hard behind the scenes over the last term to bring all of these documents up to date. These will be available to view shortly, before they are officially voted in to replace the old documents at the AGM in September. If you are unable to attend the AGM and wish to see these documents, please contact us and this can be arranged.

We always love to see new faces and hear new perspectives at our meetings and we feel that it's really important for parents and carers from across the school to be represented when decisions are made.

We do realise that it isn’t always convenient for everyone to come to our meetings, so there is often discussion on our Facebook page/inbox too. Suggestions and comments made using these forums are always passed on and taken into consideration during the meetings.

We are registered with two online shopping fundraising schemes - Easyfundraising and AmazonSmile; last term they raised us £199.76! We thank you for supporting us by using these schemes; it really does make a big difference. If you haven't already registered, please look at the respective websites and search for our charity name ‘Haslingden High School PTFA’. If you need any help with this, send us a message and we will be happy to assist.

Our 300 Club also continues to raise funds while providing members with three monthly cash prizes, currently around £55. If you'd like to join our 300 club, from only £2 per month, do contact us.

Ongoing Fundraising

Spending The Money

Anyone at the school can request funding from the PTFA and requests are considered either at our termly meetings or within our ‘bids and requests’ closed Facebook group.

Any school faculties wondering about obtaining funds from us, do get in touch!

Donations appeal!

We hold several raffles throughout the year and we are always on the lookout for prizes (bottles of wine, chocolates, smellies, vouchers etc.) Do you know any local businesses that may consider donating a prize? Please drop any donations at main school reception marked for the attention of the PTFA or contact us to arrange evening/weekend drop off/collection.
