Disembarking Cozumel Story and Photography by Robert Neff

Dec 13, 2017. On Day 5 of the 7 Day Western Caribbean Cruise with Royal Caribbean, the Brilliance of the Seas disembarked Cozumel's International Terminal after 4 PM.

When I made a quick stop in my room, I just happened look out the ocean view window to see the Pilot boat.

Disembarking Cozumel takes you along city of Cozumel's shoreline.

Passing the ferry terminal is always colorful when the ferries are docked. The white tower can be seen with black letters stacked on top of each other to spell Cozumel.

I enjoy leaning on the rail to watch the cruise ship's wake in the water. The can stare at the waves colliding to create new waves and geometric patterns.

Walking around the deck, the setting sun interacted with the ship's infrastructure to create a light and shadow designs on the shuffleboard court.
A ferry passed us on the way to the Cozumel terminal.

My book, Pelican Beakon, earned a silver medal at 2017 Florida Authors and Publishers Association President's Book Award in the short story fiction category. The Pelican Beakon is a newspaper for pelicans, by pelicans, and their one staff human photographer who dreams of being writer. Read more about the Pelican Beakon on its website.
