Year 1/2SS

We have had such a busy time learning songs for he TVMS Snappy Spring concert and learning the script for our St Patrick’s assembly. We had lots of support at both events and would like to say thank you to our parents.

We have been learning about place value in maths and the value of each digit in a two digit numbers.

We had a great start to our new topic. We had a day finding out all about Mexico!

We are learning about number families in maths.

We have talked about the amount of sugar sugar in some drinks. We have talked about how we should re think our drinks.
Year 2 children enjoyed the Ugly Duckling at the Little Theatre.
We have been using apparatus to help us derive and recall the 2 x tables.

We have looked at primary and secondary colours in art this week.

Lots of children have enjoyed working with their parents during phonics club on a Tuesday and Thursday morning. We are getting so much better at our phonics!

We have enjoyed playing times tables games this week.

We have been running fast in P.E we have been playing some relay games. We looked at a video clip of Usain Bolt running extremely fast. We have some very fast runners in Year 1/2SS.

We have looked at the most popular colour cars in maths.
We have been finding out all about how to represent data in maths.
We are writing facts about Mexico for our World Cup display.
Mini athletics with Mrs Gibson from Trinity Catholic College. We had lots of fun!

We had a go at lots of different sports this week during our sports week. We have so many talented children in Year 1/2SS

We had lots of great football players showcasing their talent during our football matches. Well done to St Andrews they won the most points during the tournament!
