Greed & Ambition A Macbeth podcast

Greed is "excessive or ferocious desire, especially for wealth of possessions." In our Macbeth podcast we talked about how Macbeth and Lady Macbeth desire was to become king and they would stop at nothing to get what they desired. Since we are doing ambition and greed, this definition sounds the same as the ambition definition. Ambition is the "earnest desire for some type of achievement or distinction, such as power or fame." These meanings are different in one way, Greed is for you and only you. Ambition people will do anything to get what they want.

One of the main points in our podcast involves going places in life. "If you don't work hard enough, if you don't have enough drive, or enough ambition, then you'll go nowhere in life, and you will achieve nothing." This is one of the quotes in our podcast, by saying this means in order to become what you want to achieve in life, you have to work hard for it. Many idols in this world have done this exact thing, which is reaching for their goals and work hard for them. Adolf Hitler worked very hard to make the Jews suffer. Rosa Parks worked hard for African Americans to have equal rights, this leads to the question... Whats the difference between this ambitious people ? The answer is this, greed. If you let greed get a hold of your ambition, it will lead to your own downfall. Macbeth is a good example of how greed got a hold of him and caused his own downfall.

There are three simple steps to be humble and ambitious at the same time. The first one is this : You must be selfless. The second step is to be cautious of others in the process of achieving your goals, it is also important to keep focused on the task ahead and quit at nothing to achieve what you set your mind to. The last self is to just be yourself. One of the most important qualities of a person is them being themselves no matter what. If you try to be someone else then the goal you set out to do will never work out.

Mahatma Gandhi was one of the worlds most famous people for standing up for what he wanted and stuck with what he believed in. He pushed for peace and he was willing to do anything for the world to be nonviolent and have peace with each other.
Nelson Mandela. President of South Africa. He fought for racial equality and was willing to even serve jail time to show the people of what he stood for. He was a great example of how we should strive to be humbly ambitious. People like Nelson Mandela used the ambition that he had the right way, which is what shapes the way our society looks today.
