Festivals Until the cows come home!
When the cool weather arrives everyone grabs their flannel shirts, boots and maybe a spiced pumpkin latte and the festivities begin. No fall season would be complete without cute barn animals, petting zoos, pony rides and carriage rides. Needless to say, Spring Valley Farm went into full gear by participating in countless festivals and special events. A couple to mention are the Homestead Creamery Fall Festival, Bedford County Fair, Moneta Farm and Home Center Fair, Mineral Springs's Baptist Fall Festival and the Fallon Park Fall Festival.

Fall Tack Sale & Costume Ride
On Saturday, November 5th SVF hosted it's Fall Tack Sale. There were saddles, bridles, harnesses, carts, and tack of all sorts for sale by auction and on commission. Additionally, there were trail rides, carriage rides, a costume contest and the night ended with a country style bonfire. It was a fun time for all.
Check out some of the great costumes below!
Say Hello to Boss aka BossMan
Boss is the offspring of Famous Shamous, our Spring Valley Farm beloved clydesdale. Boss has a striking resemblance to his daddy's looks and as well as his sweet demeanor. Boss is just over 6 months old and has started his halter training. He is coming along very well and is sure to become another SVF favorite.
Meet Goliath who was rescued by Spring Valley Farm this past September. He is a giant Belgian Mule who came to us from Pennsylvania. Don't let his size fool you he is a big teddy bear and very sweet natured. He is currently in training to be apart of the trail ride program soon. When you see Goliath be sure to give him some mule love.
Shelly and her family, husband Robert and son Sheldon, have faithfully supported and volunteered at Spring Valley Farm for over a year now. From helping with trail rides, to special events, to daily farm needs, they are always willing to offer a helping hand with a smile. If you see Shelly or her family be sure to give them a big thank you for all their hard work. We appreciate you!
"Shelly was one of the first people to greet me during my visit to the farm. she was kind and welcoming and instantly made me feel comfortable during my first trail ride. I'm was so thankful for her." -1st time Rider at SVF

Trail Rides and Carriage Rides
Don't let the cold weather keep you inside! Weather permitting, we will still have trail rides and carriage rides available on the farm throughout the winter. However, if you prefer to be inside, cozy cabins are still available for $75 a night.
