BOOST Network Steering Committee Chair Descriptions

BOOST Steering Committee Action Plan

The development of a BOOST Steering Committee is an important next step in building greater success and sustainability for the BOOST Network. The BOOST Steering Committee is expected to work with UWEPC towards developing a two-year strategic plan for the Network in order to effectively expand our efforts in the borderland region.

At the previous quarterly meeting, we asked BOOST Network members to fill out job descriptions for the different positions of the steering committee. Members were divided into groups and each group described the duties, responsibilities, and qualifications for the Chair positions. UWEPC compiled the answers and worked with PdNHF on editing and fine-tuning the descriptions. The final position descriptions reflect what Network members want from their steering committee as well as what UWEPC and PdNHF hope the committee can accomplish. We hope the steering committee reflects the diversity and breadth of the Network and can work to establish a strategic plan for the Network while engaging stakeholders.

At the June 6th, 2017 quarterly meeting, we expect members-at-large to select a Chair, Co-Chair, and Communications Chair. We want to start working with the selected members in order to present them to Network members at the September 2017 meeting.
