The Husky's Howl Week 9 - 10/22/18

Ms. Mulligan's 3rd grade class is the winner of the fall box top contest. They raised $557 for Hill and received the special box top winner trophy, and won a hat for their teacher. Congratulations and thank you for your support! Our next contest starts now and runs through February 1st. Happy Box Topping! :)

Principal's Message

Dear Husky Families,

Thank you so much for investing in your student(s) academic success and attending parent teacher conferences this week. We had a wonderful turnout. Parent teacher conferences provide us with the opportunity to create a link between home and school which benefits students.

Thank you for all your support at home!

Jog-a-thon Update

We reached another goal of $13K and students were excited to duct tape me to the cafeteria wall today during lunch. They were all smiles as they walked by with tape. It was a fun way to celebrate a job well done. The next goal is to reach $18k so that I will be slimed at our Jog-a-thon celebration assembly November 5th. We are currently a little over $15K so we are almost there! You can still collect donations and help us reach our goal this year!

Below are just a few pictures from the duct tape event this afternoon. Each class took pictures with me. To see those pictures and more join the PTO facebook page.

Halloween Costume Reminders

Our Halloween Parade and parties are almost here. October 31st will be our annual all school parade at 2pm. As you purchase costumes please keep the following in mind....

  • Please do not plan a costume that is ghoulish, morbid or in any way offensive. No masks are to be worn.
  • Please do not plan a costume that is excessively frightening to younger children.
  • Toy guns, knives or other weapons may not be worn, even if it is a part of your child’s costume. The crowded nature of the parades and parties makes such weapons a potential hazard.
  • Students may not wear their costumes OR makeup, special hair sprays, etc. to school. All costumes are to be brought to school in a bag.

Extra Halloween Candy?

Troy Youth Assistance is hosting their annual collection of unwanted/excess Halloween candy at the elementary schools for donation to other action agencies. We will have collection bins in our front lobby from Monday, 10/29 through Friday, Nov. 9.
