The Shema

Shema n. Hebrew (sheh-MAH) The central prayer of Jewish liturgy, which comes from Deuteronomy 6:4. This prayer was so central to Jewish life that when Yeshua was asked what is the greatest commandment he answered by first citing the Shema (Mark 12:28-34).
