WHY IS GOOD DESIGN IMPORTANT?

THE MIND PROCESSES VISUALS 60,000 times faster than PLAIN TEXT

QUICK TIPS

LESS IS MORE

EMBRACE WHITE SPACE

THINK OUTSIDE THE BOX

DEPEND ON RESOURCES

BALANCE IS KEY

WHAT ARE SOME TOOLS THEY USE TO DESIGN?

PEP TALK

SIMPLICITY AND COMPLEXITY BOTH NEED EACH OTHER.

GOOD DESIGN MUST BE DEFINED BY APPROPRIATENESS TO AUDIENCE AND GOALS, AND BY ITS EFFECTIVENESS, NOT BY ITS ADHERENCE TO SWISS DESIGN OR THE NUMBER OF AWARDS IT WINS.

PROBLEMS WITH VISUAL DESIGN CAN TURN STAKEHOLDERS OFF SO QUICKLY THAT THEY NEVER DISCOVER ALL THE SMART CHOICES YOU MADE.

TO CLARIFY SOMETHING, ADD DETAIL. CLUTTER AND OVERLOAD ARE NOT ATTRIBUTES OF INFORMATION, THEY ARE FAILURES OF DESIGN.

THE THING THAT'S SO WONDERFUL ABOUT USING BEAUTIFUL, APPROPRIATE TOOLS IS THAT THEY BECOME AN EXTENSION OF YOU, YOUR BODY, YOUR FINGERTIPS, AND MOST IMPORTANTLY, YOUR MIND.

THANK YOU AND HAPPY DESIGNING!
