Calendaring and Organizing Your Time Module 2.2

We all live in a flurry of activity and wear many hats. Let's look at some ways we can make sense of the chaos and manage our time and projects more effectively.

Most of us have used Google calendar in some form or another. Today we're going to really look at how this powerful tool can help you and those you work with.

You can create different calendars for each hat you wear, share it or keep it personal, and set up custom reminders and notifications so you never forget something important. Everything is organized and easy to find and keep track of.

Hands-On Practice

Use the checklist to practice using Google Calendar. When you're finished, try experimenting with features you don't normally use. Be sure to save screenshots or other evidence of completion that you'll need to submit.

Let's tie things together and bring it back to your classroom.

  1. Create a calendar for a class
  2. Create an event for that class of an upcoming assignment
  3. Share the calendar publicly so you can use it on your class website
  4. Draft an email to parents with a link to the calendar
