Pro ATP Tennis Player Diego Schwartzman, Plays Qualifying In Barcelona 2019

By Daniel Stepanyan

Earlier this week, ATP pro Diego Schwartzman played two qualifying matches in the 2019 Banc Sabadell Open in Barcelona, when he could have been seeded in the main draw of the tournament. He claims that he and his team signed up late for the tournament and was placed into qualifying.

Diego Schwartzman, had been ranked #25 earlier that week, with the lowest ranked seed being Grigor Dimitrov, ranked #43. He could have easily been seeded #12 at the tournament, but played the qualifying tournament instead. He was awarded first seed in the qualifying draw and played Josef Kovalik in the first round. After his final qualifying match against Roberto Carballes Baena which he won in straight sets, after which he was awarded a place into the main draw, Schwartzman stated why he could have been seeded in Barcelona, but played the qualifying matches instead. “The story is I forgot to sign, my team forgot to sign, nobody was watching about to sign here in Barcelona, it’s big tournament, but nothing to say, I played the qualies, I did well.” commented Schwartzman after his match.

Schwartzman won both his qualifying matches, 6-4, 6-4 and made it into the main draw. He faced rival and third seed Dominic Thiem in the round of 32, whom he had a 2-3 record against. He lost in straight sets, 6-3, 6-3, in under two hours. Schwartzman also stated that playing the two qualifying matches had been alright for him, as they were like warm-ups, for his match with Dominic Thiem the next day.

Paul Rabil makes headlines for his MLL career again.

From a young boy going to Dematha Catholic High School to his career of MLL on the Boston Cannons then getting traded to the New York Lizards. Paul Rabil is known for his incredible lacrosse plays but, to be true it was never his favorite sport until he joined Dematha Catholic High School. He went to college at John Hopkins University where he became a two-time national champion and award-winning midfielder. He later became a commercial real estate worker and earned a political science degree in 2008.

Paul also won the fastest shot and in 2010 he made the all star team three consecutive years in a row. 1st Place Team Get Swept In The First Round Of The NHL Playoffs

By: David Santo

Tampa Bay Lighting the team with the best record in NHL history get swept in the first round 2019 playoffs by the Columbus Blue Jackets.

During those four games every one thought that the lighting would move on even I thought they on but everyone was wrong.

The Columbus Blue Jackets fought a hard battle against them. A lot of games were very close, and one of them had Columbus winning by one goal. Even there coach wrote a letter to the Lighting fans saying they were there thunder for this year and all the others. Other people would have might have different opinions about the lighting getting swept but that won’t change my mind.

They had 62 wins and 16 losses ,4 playoff games and 82 games played in the 2018\19 season. And Steven stamkos one of the best players in the NHL did not play his best during his playoffs but in the regular season he was on fire.

Fun Fact: The Tampa Bay Lighting have their own TV program called Bolt’s TV were they show all of there game highlights.

Green Bay Packers make a Surprising Selection with the No. 12 Overall in the NFL Draft

By: Nidhir Balaji

The Green Bay Packers have their biggest needs at Linebacker and Wide Receiver this offseason after addressing their huge need in pass rush this free agency. Two amazing prospects are D.K Metcalf, Wr out of Ole Miss and Devin White, LB out of LSU. The Packers decided to pick instead of addressing linebacker needs by trading up and getting superstar Devin White to pick an outside linebacker. Rashan Gray who has had an amazing career as a pass rusher, can get right up in the quarterback’s face, but you need to finish the play.

I argue that the Packers should have traded up in the draft to get Devin White. Devin White is an experienced athlete coming in at height at 6’ and a weight of 237 lbs. His combine statistics are:

NFL analyst Lance Zierlein says about White that he is, “ White's work ethic, competitiveness, and rare play speed are elements that can't be taught and should push him into an early starter's role and a successful NFL career.”

On the other hand D.K Metcalf is an outstanding wide receiver out of Ole Miss. who made it to the 2nd round but, the Packers still passed up on the opportunity that could have solidified their wide receiver core for an exceptionally long time. In Ole Miss his stats were:

His stats are the combine in April made him one of the favorites to go in the first round. If you were wondering about his stats at the combine here they are:

The PFF Analysis team described Metcalf as, “ Built by physicality and freak athleticism,” Ole Miss Wr D.K Metcalf comes into the draft as PFF’s top Wide Receiver and 17th overall player on PFF’s draft board.”

The Bucks and Celtics Are One of The Most Competitive Teams In NBA History, But Who Has The Better Record Between Them?

By: Nidhir Balaji

The Milwaukee Bucks are taking on the Boston Celtics in TD Garden and Fiserv Forum , where the Bucks play. But, who has the better record against each other in the past?

The Milwaukee Bucks were the best team in the league this year with rising stars Giannis Antetokounmpo, Khris Middleton, and Eric Bledsoe.

Their record this year was a high 60-22 the highest record in 2019.

On the other hand, the Boston Celtics, the #4 seed have a determined mindset after being turned down last year, and coming in as the underdogs. They have play each other 214 times and the Celtics lead with 110 wins against the Bucks.

Even the CBS Sports analysts agreed, “The Bucks were World’s better than the Celtics in the regular season and that will lead some to believe that the Bucks will be massive favorites.” The Bucks are the better team, but just because one season they come out beating almost everyone doesn’t mean they will advance to the next round”. This has been proven because two days ago the Boston Celtics won by 22 points against the Bucks in the 1st game of the series.
