The St. Joseph’s College (Brooklyn) men’s soccer team will embark on their 2019 season in Montclair, New Jersey on Labor Day weekend at the Montclair State Invitational, where they will face off with New Jersey City University on August 30 followed by the host Red Hawks on August 31. Following the weekend opener, the Bears will remain on the road for four more non-conference road matches, where they will take on Baruch on September 4, and compete in the SJC Long Island Invitational squaring off with York (N.Y.) on September 7 and Catholic on September 8. A matchup with borough foes Medgar Evers on September 11 wraps up six-straight road tests to open the season before their home and Skyline opener against Purchase on September 17 at Aviator Field.

The navy and gray will hit the road again for three more road matches to close out September, rounding out their non-conference schedule against Brooklyn College on September 21 and St. Elizabeth on September 25.

After wrapping up non-conference play, the Bears head to Newburgh, N.Y. on September 28 to face defending conference champions Mount Saint Mary, the second of NCAA Tournament participant on the 2019 slate. Following the game against the Knights, the road-tested Bears will start the month October with two home games at Aviator Field against SJC Long Island on October 1 and Manhattanville on October 5.

Manhattanville rejoins the Skyline Conference this season after a 12-year hiatus as one of the league's founding members. The Valiants also qualified for the postseason in 2018, reaching the quarterfinals of the ECAC Championship.

Also visiting Aviator Field is Merchant Marine on October 15 and Sarah Lawrence on October 23 to round out the five-game home slate.

The regular season comes to a close with road matchups at Old Westbury on October 26 and Maritime on October 29. Both the Panthers and the Privateers were semifinalists in the Skyline Championship in 2018.

Returning for the Bears for his fourth season is senior forward Mateusz Georges, who was an All-Skyline second-team honoree last year finishing second on the team in goals scored and with his seven goals placing him in the top 15 in the league's strikers.
