We as a Chaplaincy team would like to welcome all students, staff and our extended school family back to this new schooling year. We are so looking forward to this year with the expansion of our Chaplaincy team.
We welcome Eden Ashcroft our newest Chaplain to our school family and look forward to her care and pastoral leadership.
Eden says: I'm a country kid, who loves exploring, and looking at cool old buildings! I love going to the beach and drinking coffee in my spare time!
She is also a mad AFL Geelong supporter!
Her favourite words in the Bible come from 2 Corinthians 5:17 .... "In Christ I am a new creation..."’
Whole School Information
Construction of the new grass and multi-sport area was held up over the holiday break due to rain and further engineering specifications. We have rectified the specifications and this area is now moving ahead quickly, we are hoping for completion by the end of term... weather dependent!
The wedge - housing our Head of Junior School, staff room, Learning Support team and counselling services is nearing completion. We hope to be moving in over the coming weeks.
When dropping your children to School please ensure you use the Kiss n Drop zone in the basement car park. If your child needs help getting in/out of the car please park in one of the car spaces, this will allow for the kiss n drop queue to keep moving in peak times.
We ask parents to please park in the basement car park when needed and refrain from parking in the lot out the back. The land behind the School does not belong to the School and with the amount of cars coming and going we have concerns for student safety.
A reminder students are not to use the lift unless they have a lift pass/approval from School Staff. If your child needs to use the lift please email the School Office at email@example.com.
Parent Access to Students
A reminder Parents are not to proceed past Level 1 unless accompanied by a member of staff. If you need to see your child's teacher - please make your way to the School Office and they will organise for your child/child's teacher to come and meet you in the office.

Year 7 Camp - Wed 5 to Fri 7 February 2020
Yr 7 camp is well under way at Lutanda Yarrmundi, and despite the wet weather all spirits are high and everyone is having a great time making friends, getting to know each other better and challenging themselves on a variety of activities. The Yr 7 camp is all about NETWORK, providing many opportunities for students to develop connections with each other and with staff to strengthen a sense of belonging and support right from the beginning of the year. All activity groups and cabin groups have a mix of students from each Yr 7 homeroom class, and include a mix of new students to the Wahroonga Adventist School community as well as those who have travelled with us through primary school.
Highlights of camp so far have included the team building and get-to-know-each-other games on the first night, the raft building and the flying fox. Way too much fun has been had to fully describe in this small blurb, but the Yr 7 students are eager to tell you all about their adventure when they return home this afternoon. When you ask them about what went well on camp, listen for their stories of new experiences, and take pleasure in knowing your children are fast growing into healthy, independent, responsible and supportive members of a thriving learning community!
From all the Yr 7 Camp Staff Team
