"We have pivoted from proving after school program services -- which included feeding 250 youth per-day a free, hot, nutritious meal and evening snack -- to serving 1,000 evening meals and snacks a day through curbside service at 6 locations throughout the community: Waterville Boys & Girls Club at the AYCC; North End and South End; Fort Halifax parking lot in Winslow; Fairfield Community Center parking lot; and in Oakland at the Fabian Oil parking lot."
"Local restaurants and businesses have stepped up to make donations to this food service program as well. The Proper Pig donated 50% of sales for three days and GHM Insurance matched them with a $1,000 donation. Amici’s Cucina is donating a portion of their proceeds for meals sold Thursday – Sunday and Campbell’s True Value Hardware is matching that donation dollar for dollar."
"We are also providing a childcare camp in partnership with MaineGeneral to keep their healthcare workers on the job knowing their kids are safe and well cared for at our fully accredited and licensed childcare program. We are also reaching out to our at home kids with story time, drawing lessons, exercise games and more."

Once more, our thanks to Crista Lavenson and the AYCC team for the photos and information! While times are tough, it really is wonderful to see individuals and organizations across Maine pitching in to help one another.
