April 5, 2019

The Event is THIS Saturday, April 6!

Join us for your annual TMA community and fundraising event - for TMA parents, by TMA parents! This is no stuffy cocktail party! We’ll “kick” off the event with a friendly kickball game before heading over to Idlewild Botanical - just down the street from TMA - where we’ll have food, drinks, live entertainment, and a silent auction of student artwork and donated items. While we’re there, feel free to take a stroll around the gorgeous grounds, take part in a plant potting demonstration, or peruse their selection of plants for sale (every purchase will benefit TMA). Catch a preview of the classroom projects in our hallways and in the pictures below.

Questions about the weather? We will notify you if the weather will impact any of the plans, so check your email before leaving for The Event.

Classroom Projects

Extension Student T-Shirts - Order by Sunday, April 14

Every year, we create a special t-shirt for Extension students to celebrate their graduation from the Early Childhood program. The students wear these shirts to the Spring Thing, on May 2, and cross the bridge in celebration of their accomplishments.

Orders and payments will be placed through Custom Ink, with delivery to TMA. Once they arrive, they will be given to the teachers, who will send them home with your child. Be sure to order by the end of the day on Sunday, April 14!

Yearbook Cover Contest

We are once again holding a contest for designing the cover of the 2018-19 yearbook. The contest is open to all Extension and Elementary students with a deadline for entries of Friday, May 10.

  • Submit original artwork on 11x17 white paper (utilize one side only; no marks on the back side). Stop by the front desk if you need 11x17 paper.
  • Image should be in landscape (horizontal) format with the cover on the right side and the back on the left side.
  • Leave ¼” white border/edge around the whole piece of paper.
  • Any art medium can be utilized (colored pencils, markers, water color, paint, pastels, etc.)
  • Strive for something colorful and/or with good contrast

The winner receives image credit inside the 2018-19 yearbook. Let your creative juices flow!

Please note: The winning image becomes the intellectual property of TMA.
