Our Name
Piazza Navona is arguably the most famous square in Rome. From the shadows of the ancient, winding streets of the historic center you suddenly come upon the breathtaking magnificence of Piazza Navona, born as a place of spectacle and still today a spectacular open air show; an architectural miracle in the heart of the Eternal City, filled with masterpieces in perfect harmony with each other. Throughout centuries the piazza maintained its identity as an entertainment center. And in the second half of the 15th century the market that had been held until then at the foot of the Capitoline Hill was moved there. Locals and visitors would come to the piazza for a trade. Today many locals, visitors, painters and street artists gather at piazza for the same reason. One of its famous event is the large Christmas market. So taking the name "Navona" from this historic and breathtaking place and appending the word "Mia" to it, we invented the name Navona Mia meaning My Navona.
