Campaign Outreach

The SWFL YRs are excited to get involved in campaigns for the upcoming November election. If you are interested in helping out, there are several ways to do so every week from now until Election Day! On Tuesdays, there will be a phone bank in Cape Coral. On Wednesdays, there will be phone banking at Lee Republican Headquarters, and pizza will be provided. Thursdays we’ll be phone banking in Collier County. And on Saturdays, door knocking will happen throughout SWFL. If you are interested in getting involved and want more information on any of these opportunities, please contact Sean Kempton at 239-776-6997, or via email at sean@rondesantis.com.

Member Spotlight

Bre Burchfield, SWFL YR Secretary

Hi! I'm Bre...the girl who sends you these awesome newsletters every month. Over the next few newsletters, we will be featuring each board member of the Young Republicans. So here's a little about me! I grew up near Detroit, Michigan and moved to Fort Myers about ten years ago. Before starting my current job as a scheduler at a construction company, I worked as a pharmacy technician, served as a missionary, and worked at a law firm. I also bake cupcakes for events as a side job, and hope to one day open a bakery or cafe. I joined the Southwest Florida Young Republicans in September of 2017, mostly to meet new people and for the networking opportunity. Since joining the YRs, I have learned a lot about politics and the government. I've also enjoyed the opportunity to get involved in campaigns and meeting like-minded young professionals in Southwest Florida. If I ever decide to run for office, it will probably be for school board. But as of right now, I don't have any plans to run. As the secretary of the YRs, it is my goal to keep our members informed about what we are doing in the community on a regular basis!
