Spring Valley Farm in partnership with the Blue Moon Riders is hosting First Friday's Western Games. This is a free event for the public and open to children, beginners and advanced riders with a variety of games such as musical chairs, indian pick up, barrel racing, lassoing and more! Well-broke school horses are available for $25 for the whole day. It's $8 to enter one class or $50 for the whole show. Call or text (540) 685-3249 to pre-register

The next Western Games will be Friday, August 5th with registration starting at 5pm and the show starting at 6pm. It will be fun time for all. We hope to see you there!
Recap of the Western Games this past month.

Summer Tack Sale

On Saturday, September 2nd we hosted our Summer Tack Sale. We had saddles, bridles, harnesses, carts, and tack of all sorts for sale by auction and on commission. We also provided concessions, pony rides and petting zoo making it a fun time for the whole family. Stayed tuned if you missed this month's tack sale as we hope to host another one in the fall.

Natalie Garnett said, "We had a great time at the auction yesterday and will definitely be back!😊"

Summer Trail Rides

We have had many trails rides this month with wonderful groups such as the the Santore, Ramaker, Rodd, and Ocean parties, pictured below. We even took it upon ourselves to let some of the horses cool off from the summer heat by taking a dip in one of our farm's ponds.

Ike, our Icelandic pony or now our "water horse", loved the pond. He seemed to be right at home.

Everyone loves a pretty pony! Spring Valley Farm and volunteers dedicated an afternoon to pampering the horses and ponies that work so hard for us. It was a fun time of washing and brushing coats, manes and tails and giving massages and yummy treats! The day ended with a beautiful Spring Valley Farm sunset making it a memorable time as always.

A big thanks to our volunteers Shelly, Sheldon, Dani, Katie, Michelle and Shannon!

Horse Spotlight - Pixie

Meet the poster child of Spring Valley Farm, Pixie! Pixie is 25% Belgian Draft Horse and 75% American Paint Horse. She is seventeen years old and has taught thousands of riders to love horses and horseback riding. She does it all from pulling wedding carriages to teaching young riders to steer and young horses to listen. She is always reliable, kind, patient and completely irreplaceable in every way. We love you Pixie!

Pixie takes the bride down the aisle.
Danielle Towne says, "Pixie is the first horse I've ever ridden! She is wonderful and beautiful."
