V: Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.

R: Blessed art thou among women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.

V: O Lord, open my lips.

R: And my mouth shall declare Your praise.

V: O God, come to my assistance.

R: O Lord, make haste to help me.

First Joyful Mystery: The Annunciation. "the angel Gabriel was sent from God to a town of Galilee called Nazareth, to a virgin betrothed to a man named Joseph, of the house of David, and the virgin’s name was Mary." Luke 1:26-27 (our father...)

1. Coming to her, he said, "Hail, full of grace! The Lord is with you." Luke 1:28 (Hail Mary ...)

2. But she was greatly troubled at what was said and pondered what sort of greeting this might be. Luke 1:29 (Hail Mary ...)

3. "Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God." Luke 1:30 (Hail Mary ...)

4. "Behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a Son, and you shall name Him Jesus. He will be great and will be called Son of the Most High." Luke 1:31 (Hail Mary ...)

5. "How can this be, since I do not know man?" And the angel said to her in reply, "The holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. Therefore the child to be born will be called holy, the Son of God." Luke 1:34-35 (Hail Mary ...)

6. All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had said through the prophet: "Behold, the virgin shall be with child and bear a son, and they shall name him Emmanuel," which means "God is with us." Matthew 1:22-23 (Hail Mary ...)

7. "And behold, Elizabeth, your relative, has also conceived a son in her old age... for nothing will be impossible for God." Luke 1:36-37 (Hail Mary ...)

8. Mary said, "Behold, I am the handmaid of the Lord. May it be done to me according to your word." Luke 1:38 (Hail Mary ...)

9. In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God... and the Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us, and we saw his glory, the glory as of the Father's only Son, full of grace and truth. John 1:1, 14 (Hail Mary ...)

10. The Angel of the Lord appeared to [Joseph] in a dream and said, "Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary your wife into your home. For it is through the holy Spirit that this child has been conceived in her. She will bear a son and you are to name him Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins." SECOND Joyful MYsTERY: THE VISITATION. "MARY SET OUT AND TRAVELED TO THE HILL COUNTRY IN HASTE TO A TOWN OF JUDAH, WHERE SHE ENTERED THE HOUSE OF ZECHARIAH AND GREETED ELIZABETH." LUKE 1:39 -40 (OUR FATHER ...)

1. When Elizabeth heard Mary's greeting, the infant leaped in her womb, and Elizabeth, filled with the Holy Spirit, cried out in a load voice. Luke 1:41-42 (Hail Mary ...)

2. "Most blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb. And how does this happen to me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me?" Luke 1:42-43 (Hail Mary ...)

3. "For at the moment the sound of your greeting reached my ears, the infant in my womb leaped for joy. Blessed are you who have believed what what was spoken to you by the Lord would be fulfilled." Luke 1:44-45 (Hail Mary ...)

4. Mary said: "My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord; my spirit rejoices in God my savior. For he has looked upon his handmaid's lowliness." Luke 1:466-48a (Hail Mary ...)

Third Joyful Mystery: The Birth of Jesus. "Now this is how the birth of Jesus Christ came about. When his mother Mary was betrothed to Joseph, but before they lived together, she was found with child through the holy Spirit." Matthew 1:18 (our father...)

1. But you, Bethlehem-Ephrathah/ least among the clans of Judah,/ From you shall come forth for me/ one who is to be ruler in Israel;/ Whose origin is from of old,/ from ancient times./ Therefore the Lord will give them up, until the time/ when she who is to give birth has borne/... He shall take his place as shepherd." Micah 5:1-2a, 3a (Hail Mary ...)

2. In those days a decree went out from Caesar Augustus that the whole world should be enrolled... Joseph too went up from Galilee from the town of Nazareth to Judea, to the city of David that is called Bethlehem, because he was of the house and family of David, to be enrolled with Mary, his betrothed, who was with child. Luke 2:1, 4-5 (Hail Mary ...)

3. When the fullness of time had come, God sent his Son, born of a woman, born under the law, to ransom those under the law, so that we might receive adoption. Galatians 4:4 (Hail Mary ...)

4. The time came for her to have her child, and she gave birth to her firstborn son. She wrapped him in swaddling clothes and laid him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn. Luke 2:6b-7 (Hail Mary ...)

5. There were shepherds in that region living in the fields and keeping the night watch over their flock. The angel of the Lord appeared to them... and said "Do not be afraid; for behold, I proclaim to you good news of great joy that will be for all people. 6. Suddenly there was a multitude of the heavenly host with the angel, praising God and saying: "Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests." Luke 2:13-14 (Hail Mary ...)

7. When the angels went away from them to heaven, the shepherds...went in haste and found Mary and Joseph, and the infant lying in the manger. FOURTH JOYFUL MYSTERY: PRESENTATION IN THE TEMPLE. "WHEN THE DAYS WERE COMPLETED FOR THEIR PURIFICATION...THEY BROUGHT HIM UP TO JERUSALEM TO PRESENT HIM TO THE LORD." LUKE 2:22 (OUR FATHER ...)

1. "When a woman has a child, giving birth to a boy... when the [forty] days of her purification... are complete, she shall bring to the priest at the door of the meeting tent... two turtle doves or two young pigeons." Leviticus 12:2-8 (Hail Mary ...)

2. It is written in the law of the Lord, "Every male that opens the womb shall be consecrated to the Lord." Luke 2:23 (Hail Mary ...)

3. There was a man in Jerusalem whose name was Simeon...It had been revealed to him by the holy Spirit that he should not see death before he had seen the Messiah of the Lord. Luke 2:25a, 26 (Hail Mary ...)

4. [Simeon] took [Jesus] into his arms and blessed God, saying: "Now, Master, you may let your servant go in peace, according to your word." Luke 2:28-29 (Hail Mary ...)

10. Behold, the angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream and said, "Rise, take the Child and his mother, flee to Egypt." ... Fifth Joyful Mystery: Finding in the temple. "his parents went to jerusalem every year at the passover." luke 2:41 (our Father ...)

1. For a child is born to us, a son is given to us;/ upon his shoulder dominion rests./ They name him Wonder-Counselor, God-Hero,/ Father-Forever, Prince of Peace./ His dominion is vast/ and forever peaceful,/ Upon David’s throne, and over his kingdom." Isaiah 9:5-6 (Hail Mary ...)

2. When Herod had died, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared in a dream to Joseph and said "Rise, take the child and his mother and go to the land of Israel, for those who sough the child's life are dead." Matthew 2:19-20 (Hail Mary ...)

3. You may not offer the passover sacrifice within any of your towns which the LORD your God gives you, but at the place which the LORD your God will chose, to make his name dwell in it... Three times a year all your males shall appear before the LORD your God at the place which he will choose. Deuteronomy 16:5-6, 16a (Hail Mary ...)

4. When he was twelve years old, they went up [to Jerusalem] according to festival custom. After they had completed its days, as they were returning, the boy Jesus remained behind in Jerusalem, but his parents did not know it, thinking that he was in the caravan. Luke 2:42-44a (Hail Mary ...)

5. They journeyed for a day and looked for him among their relatives and acquaintances, but not finding him, they returned to Jerusalem to look for him. Luke 2:44b-45 (Hail Mary ...)

HAIL, HOLY QUEEN, MOTHER OF MERCY, OUR LIFE, OUR SWEETNESS AND OUR HOPE! TO THEE DO WE CRY, POOR BANISHED CHILDREN OF EVE; TO THEE DO WE SEND UP OUR SIGHS, MOURNING AND WEEPING IN THIS VALE OF TEARS. TURN THEN, MOST GRACIOUS ADVOCATE, THINE EYES OF MERCY TOWARD US, AND AFTER THIS OUR EXILE, SHOW UNTO US THE BLESSED FRUIT OF THY WOMB, JESUS. O CLEMENT, O LOVING, O SWEET VIRGIN MARY! V. PRAY FOR US, O QUEEN OF THE MOST HOLY ROSARY. R. THAT WE MAY BE MADE WORTHY OF THE PROMISES OF CHRIST.
LET US PRAY. O GOD, WHOSE ONLY BEGOTTEN SON, BY HIS LIFE, DEATH, AND RESURRECTION, HAS PURCHASED FOR US THE REWARDS OF ETERNAL LIFE, GRANT, WE BESEECH THEE, THAT MEDITATING UPON THESE MYSTERIES OF THE MOST HOLY ROSARY OF THE BLESSED VIRGIN MARY, WE MAY IMITATE WHAT THEY CONTAIN AND OBTAIN WHAT THEY PROMISE, THROUGH THE SAME CHRIST OUR LORD. AMEN. V. MAY THE DIVINE ASSISTANCE REMAIN ALWAYS WITH US. R. AND MAY THE SOULS OF THE FAITHFUL DEPARTED THROUGH THE MERCY OF GOD REST IN PEACE.
