Cancun by steve brookwell

The beautiful resort of Cancun on the coast of Mexico is a true gem of a resort. I typically avoid commercial resorts but as I was sent on a business trip to train the Mexican engineers handling the new route from Gatwick. I had to appreciate the place in all its glory. It probably had the most stunning sandy beach and amazing blue waters I have witnessed anywhere in the world

Clear blue waters

The evenings hold spectacular sunsets, the local pier was a perfect spot to sit and watch the sun go down.

Sunsets guaranteed

Another amazing sunset , taking a stroll before we hit the cocktails

An English girl abroad

The pier was a popular spot for local Mexican girls celebrating Sweet Sixteen, a celebration of life and the coming of age, recognised by the Catholic Church is Hispanic countries. This young girl was one of several who was the subject of a professional photo shoot who I managed to steal a shot from !

Colours shine bright on Isla Mujeres

Isla Mujeres is just a small ferry ride away from the main Cancun mainland beaches. An easy place to stroll around and check out the local life. Famous for its scuba diving and swimming with Whale Sharks.

Hotel pools are always worth checking out.
Footprints in the sand

Early morning and early evening strolls always a pleasure. The camera lenses do steam up due to the high humidity !!
