Dear Patton Families,
The first day of school is finally here. The Patton Middle School teachers worked very hard last week preparing for this very day. Today our teachers and students will be engaging in fun ice-breaker activities and “getting to know you” activities. We know how important it is to develop strong supportive relationships with our students and those relationships start today. It is one of the most important things we do. As we get the new school year up and running, please be sure to let your child’s advisory teacher know if you have any questions or concerns. Advisory teachers are the first point of contact. Also, please mark your calendars for our Back To School Night event. This event will be held in person at Patton Middle School on Wednesday evening, September 8th, 7:00 - 8:30 PM. More information will be coming home soon. In the meantime, please be sure you print a copy of your child’s schedule and review the schedule with your child, as this is the schedule you will be following at Back to School night. Our teachers are putting the final touches on their Back to School presentations, and they can’t wait to see you. Masks are required during our Back to School Night event.
Also, as a reminder, written excuses are required for all absences, tardies, and early dismissals. We are discouraging paper absence notes this year. All attendance-related notes should be sent via email to email@example.com to the attention of Mrs. Gwynne Orner.
Over the next two weeks, our math and English teachers will administer the STAR Reading and Math assessments. We will also administer the STAR Reading and Math assessments in January and May. For more information about the STAR Reading and Math assessments, please click here. The results of the STAR Reading and Math assessments will be mailed home each time they are administered.
Have a great week, and I can’t wait to see you at Back to School Night - GO HAWKS!

It Just Takes $10
We are excited to kick off the new school year and get back to what the PTO does best - investing in the students and staff of CFPMS! For the past two years our largest fundraiser, the Spring Carnival was cancelled. With savings, we purchased an outdoor tent classroom, provided teachers with a classroom subsidy, and much more.
We are humbly asking each family that can, to contribute $10 to support the work of the PTO. Gifts can be made here: charles-f-patton-middle-school-pto.square.site
