Big 12 Champs! Iowa State beats west virginia for third title in four years

Monte Morris scored a team-high 17 points and pulled down six rebounds en route to earning tournament most outstanding player honors.
Morris became the winningest player in school history in the win.
Darrell Bowie ignited the Cyclones off the bench, scoring 10 points and grabbing six boards.
Nick Weiler-Babb added five points off the bench.
Matt Thomas earned a spot on the all-tournament team. He scored 12 points in the finals.
This dunk by Burton was the exclamation point on an terrific tournament performance by the senior and his Cyclone teammates.

TOURNAMENT NOTES

*ISU is 4-0 all-time in Big 12 tournament championship games.

*ISU is the only team to be undefeated in Big 12 title games.

*Monte Morris has 26 career steals in Big 12 tournament play, a new record (24, Byron Eaton, Oklahoma State).

*Morris, Thomas, and Mitrou-Long have won nine conference tournament games, a school record.

*Morris is ISU’s sixth conference tournament MOP (fourth in Big 12 era).

*Burton and Thomas earned their first all-tournament team accolades.
