I am in my last semester of my last year. I am 40 and it has taken me five years to finish these last 60 credits. I am taking in these last few classes like the very last sips of a favorite wine as I have come to genuinely enjoy meeting new students in my classes and engaging in the online discussions. I actually believe the online platforms have been effective at enabling well thought out arguments and idea sharing.
As a mother of 4 girls and a boy all under the age of 15, I am dedicating my life to education and outreach for preventing human trafficking and preventing human rights violations.
Random Fact - I completed an Ironman in 2014 and Escape from Alcatraz with my husband in 2017, as a vegetarian.
In 2018, I will complete my last classes at ASU and continue my work as a non-profit board member and move into the education policy sector. I look forward to supporting education policy that enables talented teachers and impactful programs focused on humanitarianism with integrated STEM/STEAM curriculum. To me, this is the most long-lasting impact I can make in preventing human trafficking and preventing human rights violations. If you’re curious, I sometimes post my plans and projections here www.xhproject.org.
