DigCitCommit
At #ISTE19, Richard Culatta, the CEO of ISTE announced twelve anchor organizations behind the DigCitCommit Coalition and the Digital Citizenship Institute is proud to make this commitment and collective impact alongside the other anchor organizations.
We hope you'll join us to make a commitment to digital citizenship. The Coalition is focused on five competencies: Inclusive, Informed, Engaged, Balanced, and Alert and we are here to help your school community to be safe, solve problems, and become a force for good.
Work With Us
The Digital Citizenship Institute is proud to work with school communities around the world to help spread this message. Our focus has always been on local, global, and digital communities working together.
This past year, we took our DigCitSummit approach and brought it to a school community where our goal was to go beyond a one-time assembly or event and instead, provide a year-long commitment to personalized digital citizenship professional development at school, at home, and at work.
At the Digital Citizenship Institute, we meet school communities where they are and help move them forward. This personalized approach includes PK-12 classrooms, parents, administrators, family social services, and the outside community (like the Boys and Girls Club, senior citizen programs, and local government and industry) working and learning together. The culminating event is a student-led DigCitSummit where the entire school community, as well as the outside community learns with students instead of talking at them.
We are already booking for 2019-2020 and would welcome the opportunity to DigCitCommit with you.
Other Opportunities
Our #DigCitKidsBook shares voices and examples from 🇦🇺 🇮🇳 🇲🇽 🇳🇬 🏴 🇪🇸🇺🇸which remind us that digital citizenship is not a stand alone lesson, but an opportunity to embed digital citizenship into existing curriculum through developing empathetic, entrepreneurial, inclusive, and innovative mindsets.
We host #DigCitKidsBook talks and workshops at schools and libraries.
