Media Bias in the 2016 Election- Should We Trust the Media? MICHAEL HEALEY

Reason why there's Bias

There are two major sides in the government and most of the people chose between these two parties in an election

American businessman, television personality, politician, and the 45th President of the United States.

American politician who was the 67th United States Secretary of State from 2009 to 2013, U.S. Senator from New York from 2001 to 2009, First Lady of the United States from 1993 to 2001, and the Democratic Party's nominee for President of the United States in the 2016 election.

Media chose sides based on their views and beliefs of the canidates

Popular Media Outlets who supported Clinton: ABC, Associated Press, American Urban Radio Networks, Bloomberg, Buzzfeed, CBS, CNBC, CNN, Huffington Post, LA Times, McClachy, MSNBC, National Journal, NBC, NPR, New York Times,Politico, Reuters, The Hill, Washington Post, WSJ

Popular Media Outlets who supported Trump: Fox News, Military Times, Town Hall, Weekly Times

21,981 articles written during the general election, article's from New York Times, The Washington Post, Chicago Tribune, Wall Street Journal, Slate, Politico, Fox News and the Weekly Standard (mix of Conservative and Liberal Media Outlets); 14,924 about Trump, Clinton less than half of remaining articles.
