On-Campus Testing Continues Monday - Wednesday, March 8 - 10

COVID-19 Testing continues at TAMIU. With the exception of Monday, March 22, testing is available Monday through Wednesday.

Registration Now Open for TAMIU TexPREP Program, Deadline to Apply March 12

Middle and high school students with a growing interest in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics are encouraged to apply to TAMIU's online TexPREP program.
  • This year’s enrichment program takes place virtually June 7 through July 1, 2021. Students will log in and meet Monday - Thursday from 1 - 4 p.m.
  • Applicants should be incoming sixth to eighth graders, a freshman or a sophomore high school student. They should receive an 80 or higher course average in Math, Science and English, while also remaining in good academic standing in all other coursework.
  • Additionally, applicants will need to obtain a nomination from one teacher and should also demonstrate satisfactory conduct.

TAMIU Career Services Hosts Virtual Career Fair Tuesday

Calling all career seekers! Impending college graduates are invited to log-in and attend the TAMIU's Spring 2021 All Majors Fair happening virtually Tuesday, March 9 from 12 - 4 p.m.

“Virtual career fairs are a convenient and easy way to network with employers and secure unique opportunities from the comfort of your device. Attending is simple, and the potential rewards are worthwhile. Chatting with recruiters online gives you a certain freedom to research in advance and prepare important questions and responses.”

Free Curbside Lunch Service This Wednesday

TAMIU students are invited to drive to the University's Student Center parking lot and pick up a free lunch plate this Wednesday, March 10 at noon. Lunch plates are available while supplies last.

TAMIU's Akikuni Honored at A&M System Chancellor Summit on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion

Texas A&M University System has named TAMIU associate director of Marketing Mika Akikuni one of 11 faculty and professional honorees recognized within the A&M System at its Second Annual Chancellor’s Summit on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Awards Ceremony.

“Ms. Akikuni has worked diligently with our TIDE representatives to find multiple platforms to help affirm and elevate our University’s commitment to inclusion, diversity and equity. Through this commitment we are now better able to share this commitment and continue to expand upon it through programming and resources.”
