The 4th of May was International Firefighters Day

The sun was shining at the Lechlade Duck Race, held in support of the Royal Air Forces Association. Visitors joined us for a fantastic day out, which included an overflight by a A400M Atlas aircraft from RAF Brize Norton

On the 3rd May 2017 the RAF Falcons jumped from a Skyvan aircraft into a sports pitch at RAF Brize Norton. This was the RAF Falcons display ratification jump, which was overseen by Air Officer Commanding Number 2 Group, Air Vice Marshal Parker.

On the 4th of May, it was more than 'Star Wars Day' (May the Fourth be With You), it was also 'International Firefighters Day'. RAF Firefighters provide 24/7 fire and crash rescue protection. They’re organised and trained to respond to any emergency with highly specialised equipment like powerful cutting tools
