Spend a week with us.

Join our case teams and get real, first-hand experience in the consultant job during ADvantage!

ADvantage is Bain's one-week internship program designed for advanced degree candidates seeking an immersion into life at Bain and a career in consulting. The program includes a full day of training followed by four days of a staffing assignment on a real Bain case team. ADvantage interns will participate in our client work, manage their own workstream, and attend a variety of social activities that will provide opportunities to meet the members of our team and experience our rich and supportive culture. Interns will also receive a guaranteed final-round interview for our full-time consultant positions at the conclusion of the program.

An application & interviews are required. Check out our FAQs for more details.

ADvantage Program Dates & Locations

  • Atlanta | June 1 – 5, 2020
  • Austin/Dallas/Houston (in Dallas) | May 18 – 22, 2020
  • Boston | May 11 – 15, 2020

At the end of each internship program, all interns will receive expedited final-round interviews for full-time consultant positions with the office they interned. For this reason, we ask that candidates apply only to the program(s) in office(s) where they would happily accept a full-time offer.

Bain will cover all travel, lodging, and meal expenses for our interns, as well as an additional stipend for their time spent on our case teams.

We believe in a culture of mentorship and support; that includes global training opportunities at every important stage in your career.

As an advanced degree, your first global training begins well before your first day on the job and before your first case assignment. These unique training experiences, designed by our own advanced degrees teammates who came to Bain straight from academia, will help you navigate unfamiliar territory, evolving challenges, and prepare you for all the extraordinary opportunities that lie ahead. From there, you will attend a global training session every 18-24 months, where you'll be trained with your peers by current Bain managers and partners, who know the skills you need to succeed, and who have been in your shoes before.

We're proud to be the #1 consulting firm on Glassdoor!

Our employees have spoken and they've ranked us the #1 consulting firm on Glassdoor’s Best Places to Work list and the only consultancy in the top 10. With this achievement, Bain has maintained its spot in the top four on Glassdoor's list for the last 12 years!

It may seem like just an award, but it matters to us. The well-being of our employees is critical to our well-being as a firm.

Case prep 101

The standard case interview is used in all rounds of interviews at Bain and is based on our actual client work - providing a mutually beneficial opportunity for us to see how you approach problems while you become familiar with our work.

We encourage advanced degree candidates to start their case prep as early as possible. To help get you started, here are some helpful resources from our team.

That's all for now...wishing you luck in the recruiting season ahead and we hope to meet you soon!
