TMEA All-Region Results

Congratulations to all of the students that participated in any of the last week's three all-region auditions (Phase 1, Phase 2 or 9th grade). We are proud to announce the following students were placed in one of four Region 24 All-Region Bands (Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Band, Concert Band and Freshman Band). These students will be participating in a clinic and concert on January 13th & 14th with other members from McKinney, Frisco and Little Elm ISD's.

In addition we have several students advance to the Area level of All-State Auditions, which will be held on January 8th at Coppell High School. This incredibly competitive competition is the last step a student must pass to be name a Texas All-State Musician. Congratulations to the following students:

Dallas Asian Winds Concert this Sunday!!!

The DAW wants to invite you and your wonderful students to the Dallas Asian Winds Holiday Concert in Prosper on December 12th Sunday at 5pm at PHS Auditorium.

It will be a great opportunity to see the professional group playing with free admission to the Prosper community. Many of DAW members for this concert are Prosper private lesson teachers and even includes one of our very own band directors, Victoria Hitz from Rushing Middle School!!!!!

Seong Ae Park, Soprano

Born in Seoul, South Korea, Seong Ae Park earned her Bachelor degree in Yansel University, South Korea. She continued her studies at the Giuseppe Verdi Conservatory of Milan in Italy. She obtained her diploma from the Academia Civica di Milano.

Ms. Park has participated in Master Classes with Fulvio Bottega and P. M. Ferraro. During her studies she was engaged to sing numerous concerts around Europe.

Ms. Park has placed and received awards in many memorable competitions such as the Biella Competition, Pietro Mongini Competition, Vincenza Competition, the U. Sacchetti Competition in Bologna. With her pure lyric voice and “bel canto” technique, Ms. Park has enjoyed performing Cio Cio San in Puccini’s Madama Butterfly, Mimi in La Boheme the Contessa in Le Nozze di Figaro and Santuzza in Cavalleria Rusticana.

Eun Sil Cho, Piano

Born in Daegu, South Korea, Pianist Eun Sil Cho started playing the piano at 5 years old. Mrs. Cho is graduate of Keimyoung University in Korea with the first-place honor, F. Chopin University of Music with Magna Cum Laude in Warsaw, Poland and Eastman school of music with graduate award and tuition scholarship for her Master of Music degree.

Her “Eun-Sil Piano Quartet” won at G. Baczewicz international chamber music competition, J.Brahm international chamber music competition in Poland and C. Hennen international chamber music competition in Netherlands. She recorded Faure and Brahms Piano Quartet for Polish Radio.

Mrs. Cho gave her piano solo and chamber Recitals in 8 Countries in Europe, Asia and USA. She played premier “Ballade for piano and tape” by E. Sielicki at the Warsaw Contemporary Music Festival. Also she performed with F. Chopin University Symphony Orchestra, Korean Symphony Festival Orchestra, Keimyoung Chamber Orchestera, Polish well known Quartet “Camerata” as a soloist.

Currently, Eun Sil Cho is an active pianist as a performer and an educator. She teaches at her private Lights Music Studio and serves Texas Woman’s University and JDR music Academy as a collaborative pianist. Also she is playing as a “SEUM Piano Trio” member. As a member of DAW and she is very grateful to play Grieg piano concerto with DAW today.

Mrs.Cho is living thankfully with her faithful husband and two precious kids in Frisco.
