Year 8 Netball Match against St Joseph’s.

On Thursday two teams of 8s competed against St Joseph’s School. This was the first time that the A and B sqaud had played a fixture together. Both courts played exceptionally well throughout the game.

Team A finished St Joseph’s 10 – Baylis Court 6, Player of the match = Venice Mensah.

Team B finished Baylis Court 5 – St Joseph’s 1, Player of the match = Tia Richardson.

The level of commitment and performance was outstanding from both teams and this resulted in two games and with some amazing defensive and attacking play. The level of technical skill and dedication bodes well for the rest of the season and as the squad develops for the 2020-2021 campaign. Well done to all of the players.

Mrs Nelson.

Junior Football – Slough Schools Power League

The junior football squad were involved in the Slough Schools Football Power League competition this week at Slough and Eton School. This was the finals round and the squad performed admirably to qualify for the second stage. The girls played with exceptional determination and pride throughout the finals games. The level of technical performance was excellent and the performance level was consistent in all of the games. This resulted in the girls finishing in third position out of seven teams. An outstanding result for their first competitive tournament. Well done to all of the players and a special thank you to the guest manager for the afternoon, Mr Martinez.

On Friday 8th February, our Media Studies class were lucky to attend the British Film Institution in London where we had an amazing day learning about the world of online Media and YouTube. We had the opportunity to have a question and answer session with industry expert Ben Doyle from After Party Studios and really benefitted from his experience and knowledge of the industry.

It’s a very exciting time to be a Media Studies student!
