My professional journey began in New Delhi, India. My family, friends, teachers, professors and mentors have supported me immensely. I have learnt a lot through my previous network and hope to learn more from my current network at the University of Washington.

In 2009, post my Bachelor's in Fine Arts (Applied Arts) I moved to London, UK to pursue my Master's in Graphic Design and Communication. I was fortunate to work on projects with industry leaders and learnt a great deal through my team interactions.

In 2010, after my Master's I went back to India and worked for multiple organizations ranging from design studios, advertising agencies to MNCs. I worked on several visual communication projects ranging from branding and print design projects to social media projects and mobile app design. In 2013, I got married and moved to Singapore with my husband.

I started my own food blog in Singapore and have enjoyed the experience of blogging ever since. My blogger network has grown a bit and I hope to publish a book someday.

In 2014, I moved to the USA with my husband and we started our US journey from Ann Arbor, Michigan. My non-profit network started here. I have volunteered for various non-profit organizations by helping them create and launch digital campaigns, redesign their website and create visual design strategies has been a rewarding experience. It has also been a great learning curve and I have built wonderful professional and personal relationships in the process.

I am lucky, as a designer I have had the opportunity to design for change and apply my creative skills to make a positive impact. I feel happy about being able to contribute towards causes such as Human Rights, Economic Empowerment and Education.

In 2016, we moved to Seattle and I am in love with the city. I have worked as a digital assistant at The Seattle Public Library. Solving new problems has been both challenging and enriching. The Library network has really been supportive and pushed me towards expanding my skillset.

The Communication Leadership Program has given me the opportunity to connect with so many passionate and hardworking people. I have had the opportunity to learn new skills, grow my network and work for growing brands here in Seattle.

I hope to build upon my previous experience and transition into User Experience. My short-term goal is to be part of a growing company and learn new skills within the UX field. My long-term goal is to become a leading UX designer.

Are you a UX Designer? I would love to hear your story. Are you someone who is interested in learning more about me?
