TIME FLIES WHEN YOU'RE HAVING FUN!!
Can you believe it's already the beginning of OCTOBER?? - It's been a crazy 6 or so months personally so my sincere apologies on the infrequent newsletter releases! Some of the happenings have gone walkabouts in the meantime but it has also been a bit quiet over the winter months.

We have a new club offer available to us! The guys at PRECISION INTERNATIONAL have come on board to support anyone building a tough motor or upgrading existing bits. NEW Committee CONTACTS
New Clubrooms, new committee! Our Annual AGM was recently held which included the voting for this year's committee. The committee positions have been simplified and unified to assist with the day to day running and avoid the need for so many people to give up their time. Welcome aboard to George as Events Coordinator, back again for another year - also Dave's ongoing hard work as Club Permit Coordinator/Scrutineer is now an official committee position.
Huge shout out to the outgoing crew - Josh, Rick and Dan - your work over the past year has been extremely valuable for the ongoing running of the club!

eastside cruisers DRAG DAY
I had a great time at the Eastside drag day at Heathcote Raceway on the 17th of March. It was great to see lots of Eastside Cruisers street cars get onto the track, although the weather was really hot and the track wasn’t anywhere near its best. Congrats to Dave Cobb and Leigh Burke both ran PBs. Dave’s being a NA PB at 10.1 and Leigh’s being a 10.2. Also great job to Dad (Grant Pegler) on winning the fastest reaction time comp with a 0.43 RT. It was awesome seeing Shannon’s TUF253 Escort doing some great skids at the start line just a shame that it dropped a cylinder and didn’t get many good runs. All around it was a great day catching up with people and getting some cool pics. - Jake Pegler, WOT Images
Thanks very much to Jake for the write up to give those who weren't able to attend an insight into what sounded like a cracker of a day!
WOT Images, run by Jake Pegler, came out with some absolute belter photos (below)! Don't hesitate to get in touch to see how Jake can help capture your favourite motorsport moments.
AUTOBARN TWILIGHT CAR SHOW
On a rather hot Sunday afternoon (24th Feb to be exact), Eastsiders got together at our club sponsor Autobarn Bayswater for the annual Car Show event. It proved to be a ripping event with an amazing turnout. There truly was 'All Makes and Models' as per the club motto.
A huge thanks must go to Ross and Sarah for all their help preparing the day. There was some reps from Nulon and iDrive, a coffee van churning out the Iced Coffees, as well as a storewide 20% promo even for non-members! Definitely looking forward to more of these twilights events in future as it worked really well.
WINTON MOTORKHANA DAY
RIDICULOUS FUN!!! What a day! On Saturday 4th May over 20 keen racers headed to Winton Motorsport Complex to try their skills out on the motorkhana tracks. The weather was great, slightly overcast but not too hot and not too cold.
Huge shoutout to Matt in particular for organising the day and everyone else who helped. So much work goes on behind the scenes to make these successful days, which can cause a lot of sleep loss to make sure it all goes smoothly.
OVERALL WINNER: Ian Deeps - Ford Focus RS
ANNUAL SCAVENGER HUNT - 28th April
Always a favourite within the club is the Annual Scavenger Hunt. A great way to catch up, show a bit of the competitive spirit and think outside the box! Thanks to everyone who attended, another successful night out from what I heard!
Unfortunately I wasn't able to make the event to grab some snaps, so here is a very similar event held in Calcutta...
