Abraham Lincoln was the sixteenth president of the united states of America.

Abraham Lincoln was born on February 12, 1809.When he was nine his mom died. At the age of 7 Abraham Lincoln moved to Indiana. He had a painful life. At age nine he nearly drowned.

In 1834 Lincoln was elected to Illinois to the Congress.1846 he was elected to the U.S congress. Lincoln served in the U.S house of representatives. Lincoln partnered with a member of other lawyers while working as an attorney.

The civil war begin April 1861 to April 9 1865. He stopped slavery and saved states rights. Abraham Lincoln Saved the union.

In 1862 Lincoln promised freedom for slaves in any confederate state that did not return to the union that year. He believed the U.S Government should have no say in the matter Lincoln disagreed.
