Future of Work - Millennial Focus Group Gaining insights on what it's like to work at Santander - straight from the Millennial's mouth

'the millennials are coming! the millennials are coming!' correction: the millennials are here! and have been for some time...
52% of our workforce; 75% of our new hires over the past 12 months; 75% of the global workforce by 2030 - a demographic we cannot afford to overlook.
taking heed of these statistics, we put together an intimate focus group to ask some key questions regarding the way this tech-savvy and progress-hungry generation feel about their life at santander
we began by asking the attendees one 'simple' question: what is the future of work?
and then tested the attendees knowledge on the impact of the millennial generation within the Santander uk workforce...
we gave the attendees an opportunity to share their views on Santander AS AN ORGANISATION...
...WHICH PROVIDED SOME INTERESTING FOOD FOR THOUGHT...
...WHEN COMPARED TO THE ORGANISATIONS OUR MILLENNIALS MOST DESIRED TO WORK FOR...
WE WANTED TO KNOW WHAT JOB FACTORS MATTERED MOST TO OUR MILLENNIALS...
...AND WHAT ADDITIONAL BENEFITS TO EMPLOYMENT THEY WOULD MOST APPRECIATE...
it was clear that our five key themes of Personalisation, Digitalisation, Flexibility, 2 way communications and Future Skills were at the forefront of the Millennials' minds...
...and that there is plenty of work to do to ensure that Santander is seen as a primary choice of employer for this demographic going forward
