What Does It Eat?

The Red Panda eats many things such as insects and eggs. They also eat bamboo and many other plants.

Omnivore Diet

Because their staple food is bamboo and they also eat berries and other plants, Red Pandas are generally included with herbivores. However, because they also eat insects, eggs and even small animals on occasion, they are not exclusively herbivores.


The Red Panda doesn't really hunt but when they do they hide in bushes and wait until their prey is not looking or paying attention then they spring into action

It has been classified as a relative of the giant panda, and also of the raccoon, with which it shares a ringed tail. Currently, red pandas are considered members of their own unique family the Ailuridae.

Endangered or Extinct

Red Pandas are very close to extinction because many people in Asia hunt and kill them for their skin.

According to world wildlife there are ten thousand Red Pandas on this earth.
