The Love Curse of the Rumbaughs By:Jack Gantos Reviewed: Jade Randle-Collins

Summary: The Love Curse of the Rumbaughs is different stories put together in one book. The parts I have is about this two twins named Abner and Adolph. They are identical and they grew more alike as they got older. They live in a small Pennsylvania town and everyone refers to them as the twins. The twins last name is Rumbaugh and the Rumbaugh curse was revealed.

Personal review: The book I was reading is a good book. I like it because it is about a family curse and they live in a small town. In small towns there is a more like chance for a family to have a curse. The twins, which they are referred as; are really great but people can't tell them apart so they are called the twins. It is kind of sad because you wouldn't want to be called something for you and your twin but they are okay with it. When one twin goes somewhere people ask about both of them and they are okay with answering " we are good".

“At the time I didn't realize their lie was a defense against the fear they had of losing their mother. I was still too young to understand that most lies were not about stealing or fighting or cheating but were just ways by which a person shrinks their whole world down to a size they can keep protected in the palm of one hand.” ~Jack Gantos, The Love Curse of the Rumbaughs
