Movie Profits Decrease
With COVID-19 cancelling releases of movies and movie productions, box office totals have also been decreasing. Compared to last year, the top grossing movie being "Avengers: Endgame" closed in on a total of 900 million dollars, while this year the top grossing movie is 'Bad Boys for Life' earning 200 million dollars. "Bad Boys for Life" was released when COVID-19 was starting to spread quickly throughout the world, and with the increase of cases, films were either put on hold or released directly to streaming platforms.
Well-known celebrities have been testing positive for COVID-19. High status celebrities such as Tom Hanks, Rita Wilson, Idris Elba, Antonio Banderas and several others have either been diagnosed or recently recovering. With celebrities testing positive, productions are unsure of when they will be able to start again.

What to Expect From the Filming Industry
It's not certain yet how or when the movie industry will be back to where it's used to be. For now, productions are either being pushed back or have been slowly starting up, like Matt Reeves "The Batman." Unfortunately, actor Robert Pattinson tested positive for COVD-19 recently, causing to shut down production for the time being. For those looking forward to their favorite shows and movie, the following are still scheduled to be released before the end of the year: "Malcolm and Marie," "The Glorias," "Candyman," "Death on the Nile," "No Time To Die," "Dune," and several other shows and films.
