  • Reservations are made for 2-hour time blocks for only one piece of equipment at a time.
  • Reservations on the ShopBot are allowed for 3-hour time blocks.
  • Any extensions need to be approved by CREATE Coordinators.
  • If you are more than 20 minutes late to a reservation and have not informed the coordinators, your time will be given to the next Pass Holder/Staff Member
  • Reservations need to be made at a minimum of 24 hours in advance. We do not allow walk-ins.
  • If you need to reschedule your time, please contact the CREATE coordinators.
  • Future reservations can only be made for 3 reservations at a time, per pass holder.

CREATE Etiquette:

  • Any Pass Holders between the ages of 13-17 need to have a parent/guardian supervising them while they are on the equipment. No exceptions.
  • All of our resource centers require closed-toed shoes. If a pass holder is working in the Wood Shop, they are required to wear safety glasses.
  • Running machines cannot be left unattended. If for any reason you need to leave for a short period of time, please ask a staff member to watch your machine. If you are gone for an unreasonable length of time, staff members have the right to stop your project.
  • If any changes to settings have been made, please revert them back to the original settings before you leave.
  • No food or drinks are allowed in the Resource Centers, except for water. Food is permitted in the CREATE commons.
  • Please leave your work space tidy for the next pass holder/staff member.
  • The last 10 minutes of your reservation is for wrapping up and cleaning your space. Please do not end projects right at the end time of your reservation.
  • Any 3D prints left running overnight will not be supervised. The cost for the print will be due on your next reservation.
  • Any guidelines or instructions provided by staff must be followed.
  • For new pass holders, please bring your instruction manual that was provided in the workshops to your reservations until you are comfortable with the equipment.

CREATE Regulations:

  • If a pass holder seems under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol, Resource Center Managers have the right to cancel your reservation and will escort you out of the building.
  • If a pass holder is misusing the equipment, Resource Center Managers have the right to cancel your reservation time.
  • Any damage caused to our machines by misuse or negligence of a pass holder will be that pass holders responsibility to replace any parts and pay for any repairs.
  • Any continuation of the activities listed above will result in the termination of your Resource Center Pass without refund.
  • If you seem unfamiliar with the equipment, Resource Center Managers can request you schedule a one-on-one refresher class for that equipment.
