Edna St. Vincent Millay was born February 22, 1892 in Rockland,Maine. Edna St. Vincent Millay was born in St. Vincent's Hospital in New York. Edna St. Vincent Millay is famous for winning lots of trophies by writing really good poems. Her middle name was Vincent because she was born in St. Vincent's Hospital in New York.

Edna wrote her books when she was nineteen years old. Edna got famous in 1912. She entered lots of contests for her poems. Edna received a medal called Pulitzer Prize and a medal called Robert Frost medal for poetry. She got both medals in 1943. She was the third person and second women to win two medals for poetry.

Edna contributed by writing inspiring poems. Edna studied in Vassar College when she was 21 years old in 1913.


Edna died on October 19, 1950 ( age 58) in Austirlitz, New York.
