This, is my family. As the fourth out of five kids, growing up with four siblings was a crazy, amazing, and often infuriating adventure. And I wouldn't trade it for anything. This picture may not be the most...flattering of all of us, but I chose it because it encapsulates our laughter and goofiness in a genuine form.
Speaking of adventure, embarking on them with friends is one of my main joys in life. In this particular example, an employee at the always-awesome Shellie's paid for our meals because we reminded him of his friends back home. However, we knew the real reason was that our outfits were especially incredible, and documentation of our fashion prowess was required.
Another important part of my life is my job at Seattle Preschool, where I have the opportunity to do what I love, which is work with kids. My job is especially important to me because it was a key factor in what was a major life decision for me. Originally, I had dreams to become an immuno-oncology research scientist. However, after much thought, my experience at Seattle Preschool cemented my decision to pursue a teaching career instead.
As corny as it sounds, my family wouldn't be complete without the presence of my obese dogs, Molly (pink scarf) and Cooper (green scarf). They're so integral that they're considered kids, too. A running (not)-joke between my siblings and I is that they're the favorites.
