SUPERINTENDENT'S CORNER
Dear Dollarway Family,
I am so grateful for the staff and community of the Dollarway School District, and during this Thanksgiving Season I'm especially grateful to you our parents and families for being such an important part of our children’s lives. This month is also the month we celebrate Military Families and Veteran's Day, so let us all pause a moment and remember to give thanks for the men and women in uniform that serve our country, to our employees for their commitment, to our community for their support and to our parents and families that continue to entrust us with the care of their children. A special thanks also to those of you that attended our Annual Report to the Public Meeting. See the Parent & Family Engagement Section for highlights and pictures. State ESSA Report Card grades have gone out and the news was not good. However, I want our district stakeholders and families to know that we are on the right track. Our data shows that we are growing students and the latest efforts to implement the Professional Learning Communities at Work systems are paying off. With our continued efforts to work the work, I am confident that we will see improved results. Thanks for helping to make it happen!
