The Lincoln Memorial By Logan

This is a statue of Lincoln.

Today I am going to tell you a few facts about the Lincoln Memorial.

The Lincoln Memorial is located in Washington D.C. and Henry Bacon designed it like a Greek temple. It took 3 years to finish building. Inside the memorial is Lincoln's Gettysburg Address and his Second Inaugural Address engraved in the walls.

This is a statue of Lincoln.

Lincoln's statue is sitting in a chair made out of Georgia White Marble. His memorial is 107 acres and his statue is 19 feet tall. I think this is a good symbol for the United States because Lincoln ended slavery, he was the 16th president, and he did a lot of good things for our country.
