Clemson Coed Cheerleading Brandon Brown Story

Brandon is a freshman architecture major and rookie on the Clemson Coed Cheerleading team where he has found his place and family among our university. He had no intentions of trying out or telling his parents until one day he showed a fellow friend and cheerleader his ability to tumble and she told him he had to come to open gym where he talked to the coach and the rest is history.

Brandon brings to the team "a sense of humor like none other, he keeps it light hearted all the time" says senior captain, Lucas Williams. Lucas has been cheering for 5 years and figured he would step up and had what it takes to be captain for the fellow newbies like Brandon. He acts as the middle man between their coach and the team. He notes that cheerleading is more than what you see on Game day, it also includes competitions which are much more strenuous and focused on cheer techniques.

Brandon cheered the tigers on to a national championship victory this year. He's proven his ability as a rookie on the team and has sure brought tons of personality and humor along with him.

Teamwork is the most valuable lesson that cheerleading has taught captain, Lucas Williams. Brandon says cheerleading has bonded him to his team unlike any other sport he has ever played such as track and football.
