This is a picture of mills in fall river Massachusetts January 1941 this picture was taken by Jack Delano.
Jack Jeffery left home on July 4th 1935. He left on a train because there was round trips. There was about 100-150 people on each car. The government set up transit camps in cities, these provided food for the people that rode the train.
